The founders of Iceland entertainment are Björt and Jón, also available for bookings in Iceland and internationally.
Björt Sigfinnsdóttir is a singer and composer born and raised in Seyðisfjörður. She released her debut album “poems of the past” in the fall 2016 and has since then performed at various festivals and events. Her music has been featured in movies, commercials and in stores and Björt has also had the chance to play a small role and perform an Icelandic traditional saga in a high profile hollywood movie, a story Björt often incorporates into the storytelling of their show. Björt is also a visual artist and enjoys combining the visual art and music in performative installations. Björt is also educated as a project leader and entrepreneur and is as such one of the founders and former director of LungA art festival and school, which have been one of the most vibrant and creative hot spots in Iceland over the last 25 years or so.
Jón Hilmar is a guitar player, composer and guitar teacher. He has been playing the guitar for decades all over the world and can take on everything from heavy metal to soft ballads, blues, jazz, pop and folk. Jón Hilmar produced a tv series called “Baksviðs” (translates to Back stage) as well as producing a vast amount of teaching material and workshops for online purposes. Jón is a naturally born storyteller and entertainer and will give you an unforgettable show every time.
Together the two have been playing on and off for over two decades, but it wasn't until the summer of 2023 that they came together and realised that they also had a joint passion for presenting their roots, Seyðisfjörður, the east fjords and Iceland in general, in an authentic and memorable way to visitors from all over the world.
